Scott Malone and England U-19 won by 3-1
Scott Malone finished his and Englands international year with a 3-1 win against Turkey in Scunthorpe on Tuesday night.
The match at Glanford Park was free to the public and there were about four thousand in the stands. They saw the visitors take the lead through Ozgur Cek just before half-time.
Dean Parrett, Gary Gardner and Nathan Delfouneso were on target for the young England team as they battled back in the second half.
The Young Lions will continue to qualify in the Elite round for the 2010 UEFA European Under-19 Championship come spring after Scott Malone has helped them to reach that stage by brilliant play in the first qualifying round.
