Scott plays 90 again when England U19 win

Scott Malone – Wolves young stable left back international – played for the whole 90 minutes again when England beat Slovakia with two goals to nothing.

The first half was goalless and tight. But after a little more than half an hour midfielder Mason of Tottenham scored the first goal for England. And then – in added time – incoming midfielder Jacob Mellis scored a second, which means that the Chelsea man has scored one goal in every match in this tournament.

The team finished on top of this tournament, unbeaten. That means that they are ready for the Elite Qualifying Round next year and will be seeded in the next draw. If The Young Lions win the next gathering they will be through to the European Championship Finals for the under nineteen.

Anyway this is very valuable experiences for Scott Malone and one wonders – taken the problems we have had with the left back position – if he will be ready to play in Wolves first team sometime in the near future.

Line up England: James Severn, Adam Smith, Reece Brown, Nathan Baker, Scott Malone, Nathaniel Wedderburn, Roarie Deacon (Nathan Delfouneso, 72), Ryan Mason, Cameron Stewart, Ryan Donaldson (Jacob Mellis, 86) Frank Nouble (James Wallace, 55)

Substitutes not used: Declan Rudd, Dean Parrett.
