Wolves Academy team v Liverpool FC in FA-Cup

Wolves under eighteen Academy Team has been drawn away against their Liverpool FC equivalents in the Fa Youth Cup. Manager Kevin Thelwell thinks it’s the toughest of opponents, but is also excited to meet them.

The Wolves Academy did actually beat the Liverpool Academy Saturday with two goals to one (article here). But it will be a completely different matter to do it at Anfield.

Thelwell says to Birmingham Mail:

It will be a great experience for the lads to play at Anfield. It will provide a memorable occasion for our young players. We have had some very tight matches with Liverpool recently and I am sure this will be no different. It couldn’t be a harder draw but we will go there in a positive frame of mind.’’

The game must be played by December 12.
