Keeper East hero again as Wolves wins on penalties

It was a raffling drama when Wolves met Tipton Town yesterday in the Birmingham Senior Cup.

Wolves took the lead with a penalty in the fifty-second minute executed by Nathan Rooney. Campbell from Tipton Town however equalised on seventy minutes and that took the game into extra time .

The substitute Liam McAlinden scored a second for Wolves’ bud Tipton did hit back when Parker found the net two minutes later.

Penalties was the only way to tell the teams apart and East in the Wolves goal – the hero from Gothia Cup in Sweden this summer when he saved lots of penalties in the final against Cruzeiro – did an excellent save on the first penalty and Wolves could go through to win with four goals to two. Well done lads!

Wolves: East, Metcalf, Cranston, McCone, Bashford, Rooney, Bennett, Harris, Landell, Spray, Hemmings.

Sub: Ismail, Rogers, McAIlinden, McGoary, Morris.
