Milijas assisted in Serbian victory

Nenad Milijas – Wolves and Serbia midfielder – assisted to the only goal in the match when Serbia won against South Korea yesterday at Craven Cottage, Fulham, London.

South Korea hadn’t lost a match in 27 and they are – as Serbia – already through to the World Cup in South Africa next summer.

Park Ji Sung and Nemanja Vidic – both Manchester United – played against each other in this match. Both are on their way back after injury and Sir Alex Ferguson was probably pleased to see them both play again.

But it was not the two United stars that came to attention in this match. After only six minutes Wolves Nenad Milijas swung in a precise cross from left that found Zigic – the Hoff of Valencia – and he went through and scored.

It is reported that Serbia could have won with more, but Korea had a chance from Park as well. It is nice to hear that Milijas is doing good in his national team, though. He will probably play a part in the match against Chelsea on Saturday.
