Loan Watch: Danny Batth on the bench for the U’s

Danny Batth had to face sitting on the bench for the first time in Colchester Tuesday. Veteran defender Paul Reid is back after a serious knee injury and took Batths place in the starting eleven.

The manager for the U’s – Andy Boothroyd – had only praise to say for Reid:

Paul did terrific, considering it was his first start for some time.

Boothroyd said that after Colchester had won over Stockport with 2-0. He was very pleased with the clean sheet. The risk now is of course that Paul Reid will take Danny Batths place in the long run and Danny will not get the match training he so well needs. But lets hope for the best.
