Loan watch: Danny and Donny

Wolves out on-loan central defender Danny Batth played in the cup for Colchester recently, but when it comes to the league the veteran in form Reid is  picked ahead of him. Last night they played against Brighton away and the U’s triumphed with a 2-1 win.

It was practically over after only a quarter of an hour as Phil Ifil and Anthony Wordsworth scored for the guests. But I’m afraid that Danny Batth remained on the bench during the match. But the U’s are thriving at third place after Leeds and Charlton.

An interesting thing about Brighton is that the former Wolves Academy player Elliott Bennett played on their midfield. He signed for them this summer. Birghton faces a relegation battle in League One this summer as they are now among the three lowest placed teams in the tables. Elliott’s brother Kyle still plays for Wolves.

The by me and everybody else forgotten Wolves defender Jason Schackell is out on-loan to Doncaster. He is due back at Wolves in January but Donny wants him to stay and so does Jason as it appears.

If something can be sorted out with Wolves then I’m happy to extend my loan spell. I don’t know what is actually happening at this moment in time. The gaffer said that he was going to speak to Wolves and then let me know what happened“.

The Donny gaffer seem to like him, as he has played 15 games for the club and even scored a goal. And the Sheffield Star writes that he has become a fans favorite. Schackell has been successful in every club he has played, but Wolves. I don’t think that Mick McCarthy will have anything against prolonging his loan to Doncaster Rovers. He has not shown that he is Premier League material.
