No Hunt and No Kilbane says Hull manager and chairman

The rumour flying around the media about Stephen Hunt joining Wolves seem to be – as I mentioned earlier today – a construction of The Sun. Hull manager Phil Brown told the Hull Daily Mail today:

Stephen, as far as I’m concerned and as far as the chairman is concerned, will be going nowhere. I have had the lad in on Thursday morning and asked him where he wants to be. His heart is firmly at Hull City and I would like to keep it that way in the January transfer window and for the rest of the season.

Chairman Pearson of Hull said about the Kilbane rumour:

It would happen only if he was desperate to go and I see no evidence of that and I certainly know of no interest from Wolves.

He is a player who remains important to us. He plays a number of positions and he is a very good personality, who is excellent in the dressing room and I would be very surprised if he was to leave.

So anyone new to the concept of a transfer window and rumours better look out. An interesting thing is that rumours could go on and on in the national media despite being killed since long by the local press.
