Game Against West Ham Called Off

The game between West Ham and Wolves on Boleyn Ground tomorrow is called off. According to BBC it’s because of  ‘conditions in the area surrounding Upton Park.’

That is a usual way of putting it nowadays. It seem that the clubs are worried about paying insurance money or something to the spectators who may get in trouble when they approach the arena because of the freeze.

I think it’s bull! Three years ago this match and many others would have been played. England has to adjust to these circumstances and warnings to the supporters attending the matches has to be enough.

It is discussed among the Wolves fans that West Ham very well could have used this freeze to postpone the match on purpose because they have a couple of their best players injured. I hope that is wrong, but these rumours will appear when matches are postponed
