Wolves have turned interest to Sunderland winger Daryl Murphy

The People reports today that Wolves has turned their interest to the Sunderland winger Daryl Murphy, 26, as the interest from Stephen Hunt to sign a deal seem to be low.

Murphy – an Irish international from Waterford – has only played two league matches for Sunderland this season, but he has played in the Cups. He has scored no goals yet this season.

The question is: – Do we really need him and can we afford to take in these players. And I don’t mean economically. Can we afford to break them into the team.

We know that their are very few players that will fit in and produce from start. Is Murphy one of those players? I think he and Jamie O’Hara has a better chance than players from the continent to fit right in. But maybe Jarvis, Surman, Kights and Keogh are better alternatives.

It is a gamble to take on new players and Wolves seem to have a settled team now. But there are always injuries and a team can always get better. I hope and think that McCarthy has full control  over the situation and that he and his merry men has chosen the right players to watch and bid on.
