Loan Watch: Loan extended for Malone at Southend

Paddytheflea continues to watch Wolves players out on-loan. Two of them have played this weekend.

Scott Malone was very active in the Southend game at home against Wycombe Wanderers. As usual he took all the free kicks for the team and also the corners. But the Shrimpers did only manage to get a draw in the match – maybe it had to do with the fact that they have sold their best striker recently.

Scott Malone and Wolves have signed a contract with Southend that allows the talented left back to stay with the Shrimpers until the end of the season. Keep on the good work, Scott! See you in PL next season.

Colchester United also played a draw away against Gillingham. The Gills were very pleased with the result and the U’s were pleaded to keep a clean sheet after the debacle against Preston in the Cup when they lost with 7-0.

Danny Batth played that one, but was back on the bench with Reid playing in his position against Gills. The playing time seem to be limited for the out on-loan central defender of Wolves.
