Wolves will make fourth offer for Hunt of Hull

According to a statement about the Wolves transfer policy by Jez Moxey recently (see also HERE) Wolves are going to make a fourth offer for a player we have tried to get to sign since the window opened

Moxey to Wolves World:

We haven’t given up on making at least one more signing and will probably make a fourth and final bid for a player we have been pursuing throughout January. Let’s hope it’s enough to make the transfer happen because we are fully aware of the need to remain in the Premier League this season and signing the player would help improve the squad.

That player cannot be any other than Stephen Hunt from Hull in my opinion. And the final bid from Wolves is probably in the realms of £4 million. Quite a lot for a player that’s 28 years of age, but I do think he is what we need to strengthen the team. I really hope we will get him!

Hunt & Doyle – Sounds like a good combination to me!

  1. Personally having been at the game v Liverpool I question whether Hunt is the no. 1 priority and not the dude from Midlesborororgh. Its right sided players we are short of in particular back up for Kites. Left side cover is already ok althou there is no doubt that Hunt would improve it. Moxey said he had bid over the transfer record well Hunt isn’t £7 mil!

    • I’m sure Moxey is talking about two different players, Mike. Look at the other article on the subject. I think the players are Hunt and Johnson (Boro) and that we didn’t get Johnson. Hunt is far from worth £7m. I think we’ll get him for £4m. and that it is in the bag already. Hull just want to drag out on it a bit to make it look to their supporters as they are holding out, and Wolves are playing along, and that Hull finally has to sell.
