Wolves take Sunderland defender Nosworthy on loan?

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy wants to save Nyron Nosworthy from sitting on the bench for the rest of the season for Sunderland, the Sunday Sun reports.

To continue to play first time football after The Black Cats have signed Matt Kilgallon he just have to go, speculates the colorful London rag.

They also write that the Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has told Nyron that he is free to go out on loan and has offered Wolves first option on the 29-year-old defender.

McCarthy actually was the man who took Nosworthy to Sunderland on a free transfer in 2005. Nyron Nosworthy can play as a central defender or a right back. He has played 113 matches for Sunderland since he signed for them and 13 this season.

I think we really should go for him! A very good signing if this is true, but I’m not so sure about the latter. Nosworthy played for Sunderland four days ago. Why would they send him out on loan to Wolves without knowing how Kilgallon will function for them? But he is exactly the kind of player Wolves need to strengthen the defence in my opinion.

  1. He’s really good. But Murphy is even better. Hope MicMac has the guts to take you to the same level. Will always be fondly remembered.

  2. Great news! We’ve really done some great purchases so far, no stars yet, but we now have a much stronger squad than before, with a player with a potential of a star – Bia.

  3. Agree totally with Addismackem i hope wolves take murphy as well both would be sadly missed as they have give so much to the club!! On a more serious note Mick get the cheque book out stop messing about with loan deals get him signed PERMANENT!
