Wolves wants to sign Egypt striker star Geddo

Wolves are linked with The African Nations Cup great star Mohamed Geddo. Geddo is an Egypt striker/attacking midfielder and the tournaments leading goalscorer so far.

But Wolves are not alone wanting the prolific scorer from Al-Ittihad (sometimes named Alexandria United) – the most professional club in Africa – to sign. Fulham and Celtic are on his trail as well and the Spanish club Osasuna too, writes the Mirror. And Daily Mail adds Sunderland and Real Sociedad to the suitors.

His name is really Mohamed Nagy, but his nickname is Geddo. He is 25 and an attacking midfielder/striker. He was very much unheard of outside Egypt before the Cup and he was very surprised to be included in the Egypt team and actually found out about it from the internet.

He has so far scored against Nigeria, Mocambique, Cameroon and Algeria (see below). We should of course try to get this man, but will of course not get him in this fierce competition. You can watch Geddo in action below and in the finals of the Cup tonight.

  1. I hope we sign him and do so instead of Roberts.Just the sort of player we need to boast the team.
