Probable Team Lineups: Crystal Palace vs Wolves (FA Cup)

It is very hard to anticipate the lineups for both the team of Crystal Palace and Wolves in tonights game in London.

Mick McCarthy will probably rest some players for the important game against Birmingham and Crystal Palace must concentrate on staying in the Championship first hand after having being deducted ten points.

But I still think that Palace and Wolves will launch strong teams tonight. Palace will play their best team, bacause Championship players can play two matches a week without getting warn out for some reason (the official explanation is that a Premier League match is much more trying on the body, but I’m not so sure about that).

McCarthy has announced that Jarvis and probably also Doyle will not play because of small knocks. Geoffrey Mujinga will play from start instead of Jarvis. I think that Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will be back from start and that Wolves will play a 4-4-2-formation with Vokes or Iwelumo together with him (or maybe they will take one half each).

But there will probably be changes on other places as well. The other Belgian player will not play, though, as he too got some slight injury problem. I believe that Wolves will play an experimental offensive alternative with Jones and Milijas from start, resting Henry.

(Edit: I forgot Surman. Maybe he will play to the left and Mujangi on the right – resting Foley)

The back line will also be changed. I think Stearman will take Zubar’s place on the right back and Elokobi will do a come back on the left so that Ward will be well rested before Birmingham. Maybe Mick will rest Craddock as well, but I think he will keep the two central defenders intact to give the team stablílity.

What about the hosts then? They will really try to get to the next round and will launch their best team available. An interesting thing is that the defender Butterfield played as striker in their last match and did well. Perhaps they will take a chance from start and play him at top?! Otherwise Ertl seem to do a come back after injury and the big, old man Stern John will probably start on the bench.

The probable starting elevens will be:
