Loan Watch: Batth’s U’s wins over Malone’s Shrimpers

The Wolves on-loan player Scott Malone played the match on left back as usual, but now with Sanchez Watt – on loan starlet from Arsenal – in front of him. I thought that could decide the game, because Watt was very good against Wolves in the Reserves. But it was his first game and he will probably need some time to adjust.

Malone handled the free kicks and the corner as usual, but they were blocked or plucked at all times. Danny Batth – Wolves loan-out to the U’s sat on the bench as anticipated. Reid was back in on pitch after injury, and the fact that Batth didn’t play when he was out is probably a bad sign. But he would of course get no more playing time in Wolves.

  1. Watched the match and thought that Malone had a good game considering the pitch was very poor, always involved and his passing was good. FYI Malone was playing at left back last night.

    • Of course” He always play on left back. Sorry ’bout that. Tired. Yes. A cabbage field?! Malone will be a very experienced young left back to the next season. And as an English international he gets that kind of experience as well. A very good development!
