Stefan “The Hoff” Maierhofer scored a brace in the Reserves

Wolves Reserves this afternoon played against Wrexham in a behind-closed-doors development friendly at Compton.

The visitors took a first half lead through, but Wolves equalised close to halftime through Ashley Hemmings.

Nathan Rooney scored late in the second half and The Hoff scored twice and earned Wolves a 4-1 win.

Very good that The Hoff got some playing time and also scored a brace. But why the closed doors?

WOLVES: East, Metcalf (McCone 80), Little, Friend, Jones, Mendez-Laing, David (Rooney 58), Castillo, Hemmings (Spray 67), Maierhofer, Bennett (Reckord 63).

  1. He should be more careful didn’t Denes Rosa score a lot in the reserves!!

    • 😆 Yes. Shows it’s possible to make a career there.

But it could be that he and the other first team players playing behind those locked doors where on display from Championship managers who wants to strengthen their teams. But of course i could also be just about match training when it comes to the Hoff. But I would pick Iwelumo for Hoff every time if I were MM (Thank God I’m not!)
