Academy under 18’s 4th in Premier League Group

After losing out to Everton, Bolton and Stoke in the last three games it is a pleasure to inform you that the Wolves Academy under 18’s did beat Barnsley with two goals to nothing yesterday.

But it was not before a quarter of an hour into the second half Wolves scored their first goal with a combination involving several players of the team. Finally Rooney running down the right flank found Landell who launched a low drive from about twenty yards.

The second goal was a spectacular overhead kick from McAlindon after a corner in the 88th minute.

Mick Halsall, coach of the team, said to Wolves Official Site:

It was pleasing not only to win, but also to keep a clean sheet. We certainly deserved it and I’m hoping that we can put a good run together between now and the end of the season.

Very nice to see that our Academy players are on the right track again. Wolves are now at 4th place in their league group, only three points behind leaders Everton (see HERE).
