Batth and Malone are back – Will Scott get any playing time?

Wolves has recalled out on-loan defenders Danny Batth and Scott Malone. As I wrote yesterday Southend are relegated and the U’s have no chance for the play-offs, so it is a natural decision from the management.

With Stephen Ward under the knife it may be even wiser to have Malone on the bench if something happens to twice Paddytheflea’s Man Of The Match Big George Elokobi.

I believe that both the management of Southend and Colchester have made the wrong decisions by not using Malone and Batth much at the second half of the season. In fact both teams showed better results when our lads were playing.

Why Southend – a team that is now relegated to League Two – doesn’t use an English international in their matches is beyond me. Hopefully he will get a couple of minutes to show what he can do in the Premier League instead. And that both Batth and Malone will continue to grow in Wolves shirts.

  1. I have always thought that Scott Malone had potential to break through into the senior team, I think he is a very decent player. I dont know much about Danny Batth so I cant comment on him. Be good to see Scott get some pitch time in the remaining 2 games.

  2. Wonder what’s happening with Kightly – gone very quite on that front!
