The deal is done! Adlène Guédioura scores and signs permanent deal with Wolves
Thanks to the goal by Adlène Guédioura – the energetic midfielder on loan from Charleroi – Wolves managed to grab three points from Sunderland in the penultimate game of the season in front of a lively home crowd at Molineux today.
Manager Mick McCarthy had a very important announcement to make in the press conference after the match.
“The deal is done now, it’s all sorted. I know he’s a good player and he’s come from Charleroi and really added something to the Premier League. He’s a lovely fellow and a good player. He shoots. Sometimes he shoots from ridiculous ranges but if you shoot, you score.”
“And he’s just scored a winner on the last day. He’s a lovely fellow and a good player as well. I said before the game he’s got a goal in him. He’s an attack minded midfielder who has played wide right today and I thought he grew into the game and got better and better. It was a terrific performance.“
I am very pleased that Wolves are keeping Guédioura. He is a very good player and has adjusted to the Premier League very fast. His passing game is not the best, but he always looks dangerous going forward.
Next season he will be even better and I really hope that we can watch him play for the very good Algerian team in the World Cup come summer.
