Milijas scores and Hahnemann saves

Hahnemann played the second half of the United States preparation game for the World Cup against Australia. The game was won by the Americans by three goals to one and it was Tim Howard who picked up the ball from the net after the Australia goal in the first half of the game.

Marcus Hahnemann did very well between the uprights for his country and saved his team several times. Reports states that a save he made in the 59th minute was terrific.

The MLS site has rated the players and the first keeper of Wolves gets the best rating of all in the American team. This is what they say about his play:

Made three fantastic saves in the second half to keep the Aussies from drawing level. US fans should not be worried if he has to step in for Howard.

I believe that we will see Hahnemann on the bench in the World Cup against England. Well done, Marcus!

Nenad Milijas played today for his Serbia against Cameroon. And he scored! On a penalty in the 44th minute. It was the 3-2 goal and Serbia won the match with 4-3.

The fact that Milijas was chosen to take the penalty says to me that he will feature in the first eleven for Serbia in the World Cup. Well done, Nenad!

It is now reported that Wolves Algerian international Adlène Guédioura got 15 minutes of play when tihey managed to win against UAE. He was close to scoring for his team in his second appearance. Well done, Adlène!

    • Thank you, Jerome! It’s always nice to get recognition from readers. I will not post as many articles as in season now, but I will follow our lads in the World Cup and of course follow ins and outs in the silly season.
