The Hunt Is Over
The hunt to catch the energetic winger Stephen Hunt from Hull is now over. Local media sources in Hull, national media sources and even sources in Ireland are certain that Hunt will sign for Wolves today or later this week – depending on when the club wants to present him to the media.
Local media are talking about a total fee of £7 million for Hunt and Mouyokolo, but the exact numbers will of course never be disclosed.
I’m very pleased with this signing and believe that Hunt has much to offer Wolves and wish him a speedy recovery from his injury. Wolves has one of the best facilities in the country for rehab training and I’m sure they will take good care of him.
I predict that Hunt will run right into the hearts of the Wolves supporters and will provide speed and better aim and determination to our counter attacks the upcoming season.
The only position left to strengthen now – as I look at it – is in the defensive midfield. Chelsea will probably hold on to Michael Mancienne – as he is one of a few of their home grown players – so a new signing is necessary.
The name Guirane N’Daw has been mentioned, but he has been out on-loan from Nantes to S:t Etienne this season and they have an option to buy him for 4 million Euros. But if they decide not to use their option, Wolves will probably wait in line.
