Guédioura hopeful of place in Algeria starting lineup
The Wolverhampton Wanderers Algerian International midfielder Adlène Guédioura talks to football 365 and says that he is hopeful of a place in the starting lineup today against USA.
Algeria need to win in their last group game to go through. Not an easy task for sure. But the Algerians seem to be in good mood and Adlène of Wolves is confident:
“We have to find opportunities to score, because we need to advance. This is the decision of the coach (if he starts or not) and I have to accept it. For sure I want to play and I will work for that, because I am competitive, but even if the coach says you will be a substitute it’s important, because maybe they’ll need me, like they did against England.”
Like in the club team I believe that Guédioura learns in a great pace. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see him starting today. But the other Wolves player in the game – keeper Marcus Hahnemann – will sit on the bench as usual. Tim Howard has a rib injury, but he played through the pain barrier in their last game and will do it again.
