Kightly is back – sort of

The Wolves official site today announces that Michael Kightly is “pencilled in for a return to some sort of full training this week”.

McCarthy is delighted, of course and says to the same site:

Kightly is doing very well. He’s very positive about how he feels but there’s no time on him, it’s about getting him back. He’ll start stepping into training with the lads this week and will do a couple of sessions with the football for 30 minutes. I’m thrilled with that. He will be like a new player for us because we hardly used him at all last year.”

It would be awesome to have Kightly back in contention. With new signing Stephen Hunt not available until October we don’t have the strength going forward from the wings that we need.

I really hope that the rehab’s going well this time and he – injury free – can be successful and take the Premier League with storm this season. But it’s probably right to have patience and don’t rush anything.

  1. Yes indeed, with players like Guedioura available theres no need to rush anything! Another alternative is to play Doyle on the left and Jarvis right.

  2. Great news… cant wait to see how he performs in the prem… roll on weekend !
