Vokes on his way back to Wolves?

Wolves out on-loan striker Sam Vokes was unfortunately injured in his hamstring after 13 minutes of play for Bristol City Friday.

Today he will take a scan to assess the damage and how long he will be in rehab before he can play again. He will of course not play for Wales against Luxembourg on Wednesday.

City manager Steve Coppell to the official Bristol City site:

Sam needs to go and have a scan. He is still very sore and will be out for a while but we don’t know how long yet.”

“If he is going to be missing for some time then it is likely he will go back to Wolves to receive treatment. If it is not so bad then he will probably remain here.

I will await the verdict on Vokes injury and keep you informed on the progress.

  1. They can happen as easily as that… we were a tad lucky that Doyle didnt pick up any knocks last season as we relied so heavily on him. Just another reason i hope we hold onto Keogh.
