Magpies next

Wolves will play Notts County next in the League Cup – after our London adventure against Fulham and Tottenham, of course. The match will take place at Molineux on Tuesday September 21st, KO at 7:45.

Notts County play in League One and they have one win, one draw and two losses so far. 18th place, so they are struggling. But they were in League Two last year and have lost much of their financial backing, so I suppose it’s only natural.

They will of course look for a ‘cupset’ and with veteran Lee Hughes in the team they could be a threat. The 34-year-old former Tesco wearing striker scored 30 goals for Notts last season and was by that not only the best scorer in the league, but in the whole league system.

He is though yet to open his scoring this season, but there is a warning sign coming up before me when these old farts with Premier League experience play in the cup. But there’s a couple of weeks until then, so let’s not start worrying just yet. 😆
