Wolves to play Cup holders away again (video)

Wolves will travel to play cup holders Manchester United in the next round of the League Cup.

And – exactly like last year it will be in a busy period of the league. Look at this:

23rd of October , Chelsea – Wolves
26th or 27th of October,  Manchester U – Wolves (cup)
30th of October, Wolves – Manchester C
6th of November, Manchester U – Wolves (PL)

You’ll bet there will be speculations in the media about the team that McCarthy will put out against the Cup winners. In fact they have already started. But they of course forget that the Carling Cup does not have any rules regarding ‘best team’ and such.

And maybe even the board of Barclay’s Premier League don’t mind that much anymore and interfere now that every team have their 25 player squad to choose among. At least that is of course how it should work. But be prepared for debate and bantering. 😆

Last season Wolves were beaten by Manchester United in the Carling Cup on the 23rd of September with one goal against nothing. The goal came from Wellbeck in the 66th minute. Look HERE for my ratings and comments after that game.

This how it looked like last season:

  1. I think we could have won that game last season,
when Doyle was on his own, and then some Manchester United defender came and fouled him, getting a card, and of course, Wolves would have no more chances like that.
