Jonny Gorman scored in the first minute

The Wolves Under 18’s did not follow in their seniors footsteps, but did the quite opposite by scoring in the first minute against Crew Alexandra away Saturday.

And as already known by Bolton, that is the proper medicine to win by three goals to two away.

It was Jonny Gorman – our Northern Ireland senior team international (With four caps and in the squad for Wednesday against Morocco at home) who scored the Academy team first goal.

But Crewe was not going to fold and fought back bravely. They managed to equalise in the first half and it seemed to have been a rather undecided game until after the hour when Wolves wild winger Anthony Forde went on a run and shot the ball into the roof of the net.

He uses to play on the opposite wing to Zele Ismail these days and makes the team a danger at both sides. Hopefully Wolves senior team could take after that.

Jake Kempton then succeeded in finding the net with his left foot and the lads had a good lead until the last minute when Crew Alexandra scored their second.

I believe that the Wolves Under 18’s are now at fourth place in their league group after a very good run, but a bad start, still with Everton and Manchester City in front. But it’s a very competitive group with Liverpool and Manchester United also in it. And our friends down the road. 😆

Next up is Stoke at home next Saturday. That should be a win!
