Injury Report: Vokes back & Jody crippled to Christmas

Since Jody Craddock was injured in October the Wolves defence have had an extra hard time to cope with attacks from the opponents.

I am not the only one among the Wolves faithful to look upon this as a classical cause-effect phenomenon.

So when I found out that our veteran defender will be out longer than expected – until after Christmas at least the official sources say – I’m getting mucho worried. Still a tear of the ligament left and a tear in my eye aswell.

Many of the fans has actually given up hope of ever seeing Michael Kightly running along the right wing again – but not so fast (I mean not so fast about giving up hope, you numpties)😆

The operation he underwent in Sweden on one of his patella tendons actually went very well, but to be able to run he need both knees fixed (actually makes sense, doesn’t it?!). So he will undergo surgery on the other knee aswell – and in Sweden I presume.

For Michael Kightly – who has been out injured for so long – it’s not a question of when, but on if and I’m totally happy to read that he is actually making progress and hopefully half of the problem is now solved and the other half about to be. Good luck, Kights!

The reports also say that Dave Edwards and Steven Mouyokolo will return to training at the end of the week. I’m a little sorry for Mouyokolo, as he could have made his way in the team if he had been fit for the Sunderland game. But he will surely get another chance to impress.

Karl Henry’s recovery is going faster than expected and he will probably be back already in four to six weeks.

And – from another source – Sam Vokes seem to be ready to play already. He was scheduled to lead the reserves on Thursday in a game against Bristol City behind closed doors. But due to the weather situation it is doubtful that the match will ever take place.

Hopefully he can find another way to get match fit. And hopefully he can get real game time at Bristol City to show the club what he can do before his injury filled loan time at the club will end on January 6th.

That’s the injury report from me – injured myself after participating in ‘Bike On Ice’😆
