Reserves and Injury Report

As you may know already the Reserves Team played out a friendly against Leicester City behind locked doors yesterday. At the same time there are rumours that both teams wants to take City player Michael Johnson on loan for the season.

Unfortunately I guess Championship team Leicester has the upper hand in that, as the managers are old friends, with Mancini being former apprentice to Eriksson in the manager role in Italy.

Anyway. The game against Leicester went very well on many accounts. At first – but maybe not most important this time – Wolves managed to win the game with an only goal scored by Winnall from the Development Team.

But most important the players coming back from injury did very well and seem to have cleared the test, so to speak;

  • * Henry and Craddock played for over and hour
  • * Mouyokolo played for one half
  • * Vokes played for over 40 minutes

At least Henry is reported to be in contention for the clash away against Manchester City on Saturday and hopefully all the others are on a straight line back to duty soon aswell.

But more probable is perhaps that Henry – and maybe also Mouyo and Craddock – will play in the FA Cup match against Donny on the 18th instead.

Maybe it fits in with a little injury report here aswell.

I’ve got no report as of yet about the progress after the knocks to their ankles Zubar and Foley suffered in the last game and if it will have any impact on their appearances against City. Hopefully not.

Dave Edwards limped out of the Doncaster game latest with a slight hamstring injury, but it’s hoped that it is nothing serious and that he will be available for play in the weekend.

Adlène Guédioura has actually been as far as to Quatar for rehab on his broken leg in a world known facility in the Arab country. But he’s back at Compton again now, probably ready to play in March or April again.
