Confirmed: The Hoff is off! (video)

Yes. It’s confirmed on the Red Bull Salzburg official site that Stefan Maierhofer has signed for them.

It’s a two-year contract and they have probably paid Wolves in the region of a million pound. Red Bull are the current top of the league team in Austria and they also hope to qualify for the group stages of the Europa League.

They are playing a second leg against Cyprus team Nicosia at home on Thursday and have a loss by 2-1 away to make up for.

The Hoff will though not be able to play in that game as it is a second leg, but he hope that they will reach the group stages.

He has to wait until Saturday for his debut in the big game against his former club and current champions Rapid Vienna.

As a treat and goodbye to The Hoff (who was not a good buy for Wolves) 😆 I will show you his first and last goal in a Wolves shirt. Good luck tall man!

  1. I’m a little disappointed the big fella never really got a go . . . I thought he would have made a good substitute option to shake things up if we were chasing a game.
